BUA Group donated an additional N350 million to CACOVID, which is a CBN led private sector coalition on COVID-19. This new donation has summed the total donation of the group to N1.35 billion to CACOVID.

It was announced by BUA, that it also donated N100 million to the Kebbi State Government, in order to support the recent flood in the state.

BUA Chairman, Abdul Samad Rabiu, spoke on the donations saying the group remains committed towards aiding development and that it will continue with its humanitarian interventions in the country.

The Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele in coordinating the CACOVID said: “I must also commend the efforts of Governor Godwin Emefiele who has brought his astute leadership to bear in the running of CACOVID with Aliko Dangote and other members of the CACOVID steering committee of which BUA is a pioneer member.”

Rabiu noted: “We intend to keep monitoring the situation in collaboration with other relevant stakeholders and are ready to contribute even more, where necessary.”
