The Federal High Court has rejected Nnamdi Kanu’s bid for bail and his plea to be moved to Kuje prison.

Justice Binta Nyako rendered the decision, refusing Kanu’s requests for bail reinstatement and relocation to Kuje prison.

The judge restated previous apprehensions about Kanu’s evasion of legal proceedings, highlighting his flight from the country and the failure of his guarantors to trace him as pivotal considerations in the ruling.

Justice Nyako added that Kanu’s only recourse now is to approach the Court of Appeal and avail himself of his right to appeal.

The judge futher refuted Kanu’s chief counsel’s assertion that the Supreme Court ruled that his initial bail, which was revoked, should not have been rescinded.

She mentioned that she had reviewed the Supreme Court’s judgment and found no reference to the lawyer’s argument.
