Chelsea have reportedly found a solution to their center-forward problems after deciding against pursuing Napoli’s Victor Osimhen.

RB Leipzig striker Lois Openda has emerged as a leading candidate for Chelsea this summer. The Blues are keen to upgrade their attacking options and had initially been heavily linked to Napoli’s Victor Osimhen. However, new manager Enzo Maresca and the Chelsea board decided that Osimhen was too expensive and chose to look elsewhere.

According to TEAMTALK, Chelsea have now made Openda a top target and are willing to open talks with Leipzig over a deal that could be around 70 million euros. The 24-year-old scored 28 goals in all competitions for Leipzig last season, playing a prominent role as part of a front-two that included Benjamin Sesko.

Meanwhile, the Stamford Bridge club remains in talks for Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran and continues to push for a swift resolution ahead of pre-season.
