Tension as CCT chair, Onnoghen’s counsel exchange words
NEWS DIGEST–There is tension presently at the Code of Conduct Tribunal as the Chairman, Danladi Umar, and the defence counsel led by Chief Adegboyega Awomolo engage in a hot exchange of words.
The argument began after the tribunal Charman insisted that proceedings must continue despite the agreement by the lawyer to the prosecution, Aluyu Umar (SAN) and Awomolo, that the case should be adjourned to a later date in view of some recent developments in the case.
