Calabar Boy Taken by Gang Over Girlfriend Dispute

An 18-year-old boy named Kingsley Eyo Andem was reportedly abducted by a gangster over the weekend on suspicion of dating the girlfriend of their leader, known as ‘Olismam’. The incident occurred when Andem was taken from his home to the creeks near Calabar in the Nyangassan axis.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, Irene Ugbo, confirmed the abduction in a statement, noting that the Anti-Cultism and Kidnapping Squad (ACKS) responded promptly to a distress call about the attack. According to Ugbo, the police team swiftly mobilized to the crime scene in the morning hours.

“Upon sighting the police, the hoodlums fled into the creek, abandoning their victim, Kingsley Eyo Andem, an 18-year-old male, who was found with multiple injuries inflicted by his abductors.

“His abduction was based on allegations of dating the girlfriend of the gang’s leader.

“The Command has intensified efforts to apprehend the gang members and ensure they face justice in accordance with the extant laws of the land,” she said.
