Damini Ogulu, known as Burna Boy, has achieved a groundbreaking milestone as the first African artist to surpass 2 billion streams in the United Kingdom.

During his sold-out performance at Koko Camden in London on Monday night, the Nigerian afrobeats star was honored with a Brit plaque in recognition of this achievement.

Just weeks earlier, Burna Boy received a Brit plaque for reaching 1 billion streams during another sold-out show at London Stadium.

Upon receiving the Brit 2 billion streams plaque, Burna Boy expressed gratitude and emphasized the significance of fighting for one’s accomplishments.

“I appreciate you all. You know, we have to fight for our rights,” Burna Boy stated during the presentation, highlighting the journey to achieve this remarkable feat.
