NEWS DIGEST – President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday inaugurated some road projects in Jos, the Plateau capital.

Buhari is undertaking his first visit to Plateau since he assumed office in 2015.

The road projects the president inaugurated included Mararaba Jammaa-British American Junction Way, Miango-Rafiki Road and the Secretariat Junction Flyover.

In brief speeches he delivered at all the points, Buhari commended Gov. Simon Lalong for making the construction and rehabilitation of roads his priority.

He also commended the quality of work done and urged other state governors to emulate their Plateau counterpart.

Buhari, who is on a two-day visit to the North Central state, had earlier been received on arrival at the Yakubu Gowon Airport, Heipang, by Làlong and his Nasarawa counterpart, Tanko Almakura.
