No less than 50 bagged first class at the University of Lafia in Nasarawa State as the institution graduates 6,499.

The various individuals will be awarded certificates on Saturday during the sixth, seventh, and eighth convocation ceremonies of the school.

Professor Shehu Abdul-Raman, the Vice Chancellor of the University, revealed this during a pre-convocation media briefing in Lafia, the state capital.

He announced that 6,499 graduates from the university’s three sets would receive degrees at the event.

He added that in the previous three years, the university he led accomplished amazing things.

He made a commitment that the university’s administration would persist in upholding high standards to ensure that the graduates are capable of making valuable contributions to the progress of society.

The vice chancellor clarified that all of the university’s staff members have received training to keep up to date on their knowledge in their respective fields of specialization, even as she stated that the administration was making every effort to collaborate with important state stakeholders to address the issue of insecurity.

But he also asserted that since taking on the role of Vice Chancellor of the university, his administration has made the welfare of the staff a primary priority.

His words, “Our graduates have been provided with necessary knowledge and skills in their various disciplines for discovery and development.

“They have received adequate mentorship that will give them the edge over their peers. The university leadership do not only train students to have certificates but also to prepare them to have potentials.”
