The suit alleging money laundering against Binance and its officials has been postponed until April 8 by an Abuja Federal High Court.
Judge Emeka Nwite, the trial judge, heard the parties’ arguments regarding the charge’s service on Binance Holdings Limited before adjourning the case for a decision.
The arraignment of the defendants, Binance Holdings Limited and Tigran Gambaryan, was scheduled for this Thursday; however, it was postponed due to a protest from Mark Mordi, the second defendant’s attorney (SAN).
Mordi argued that since the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission was unable to properly serve Binance Holdings Limited, his client could not be charged.

He noted that his client was not an agent, director or representative of the company in the country and as such could not be serve on behalf of the first defeandant.
However, E.E. Iheanacho, the EFCC’s attorney, didn’t agree with him.
He mentioned that the second respondent is the nation’s first defendant’s representative and that the charge against him was rejected on the company’s behalf.
Iheanacho uttered The second defendant’s attorney did not have the right to represent the first defendant.
He implored the court to accept the first defendant’s plea of not guilty and to proceed with the case.
