Anthony Joshua is set to face Daniel Dubois for the IBF heavyweight title after Oleksandr Usyk confirmed he will vacate the belt.

Usyk became the undisputed champion, holding the WBC, WBA, WBO, and IBF titles, after defeating Tyson Fury on points.

He announced via Instagram that he will relinquish his IBF belt ahead of the Joshua-Dubois bout, scheduled for September 21 at Wembley Stadium.

“Hey Anthony Joshua, Daniel Dubois, the IBF Belt is my present for you for 21.09.2024. The world loves strong. Your friend, Undisputed Heavyweight Champion of the World, Oleksandr Usyk,” Usyk posted.

Dubois, who holds the IBF Interim belt and was defeated by Usyk last year, would have been the mandatory challenger for Usyk.

Usyk is contracted to rematch Fury, with the fight set for December of this year.
