NEWS DIGEST- One of the women involved in accusing Manchester United player Antony of violent behavior has withdrawn her case, as per a recent report.

The accusations against the 23-year-old Brazilian winger revolve around assaulting his ex-girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin on multiple occasions. The authorities in Sao Paulo and Manchester are currently investigating the alleged assault.

Antony, however, has maintained his innocence and has not been arrested or charged in connection with the incident.

Additionally, during an interview in Brazil, 33-year-old banker Ingrid Lana claimed that Antony exhibited aggressive behavior towards her in October 2022. Lana alleged that the football player’s actions were potentially life-threatening.

Meanwhile, another case involving a car incident, in which law student Rayssa de Freitas accused Antony and Mallu Ohana (ex-wife of Brazilian player Dudu) of attacking her in Antony’s Land Rover after leaving a nightclub in Sao Paulo, has been dropped by de Freitas.

It has been reported that de Freitas exited the car during a stop at a traffic light, and subsequently required hospital treatment after the incident.

Manchester United, meanwhile, was unaware of the police report until it was covered by Brazilian media earlier this month, despite the incident occurring three months prior to Antony’s transfer to Old Trafford.

Presently, the Brazilian player is on paid leave from Manchester United until further notice. A statement released by the club on September 10th acknowledged the allegations against Antony and stated that players who did not participate in international matches were due to return to training on Monday. However, it was mutually agreed with Antony that he would delay his return in order to address the allegations.
