Communication Minister, Abike Dabiri, others expected at Nigerian Social Media Summit

NEWS DIGEST–Various stakeholders in the Nigerian Communication and Media sector will on Saturday, October 20, storm Abuja for the second edition of the Nigerian Social media Summit.
According to the secretary of the planning committee, Mr. Adedapo Adewuyi, prominent personalities which include the Minister of Communication, Barrister Adebayo Shittu, who is also the Chairman and Chief Host of the Summit; the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President on Diaspora Affairs, Hon. Abike Dabiri Erewa; the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President on youth and student Affairs, Nasir Adhama; Hon. Olanrewaju Oba; and the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the Niger State Governor, Mallam Jibrin Baba Ndace, among others, will be guests at the event.
The summit which is themed: “Social Media as a tool for social governance, electoral participation and national Unity”, will hold at Barcelona Hotel.
Participants and delegates from all over the country will be selected to attend the summit.
The summit will also feature the launching of ‘Nigerian Social and Digital Media Literacy Program’ aimed at training the youths on how best to use the social and digital media for business and personal development.
The summit is set to hold at Barcelona hotel in Abuja.
