Abdulrazaq, Tinubu will win Kwara by landslide – Saliu Mustapha
NEWS DIGEST – The Turaki of Ilorin and All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate for Kwara Central Senatorial District, Mallam Saliu Mustapha, has assured the state governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and the party’s Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, of landslide victory in the upcoming elections.
Mustapha who gave the assurance during the inauguration of his campaign team in the four Local government areas and 52 wards of the Senatorial district, on Saturday, also charged members the committee to ensure the victory of all APC candidates in the state.
According to him, members of the campaign committee were selected based on their capacity, adding that the aim of the team is to canvass votes and mobilize supporters to win the election.
He said the campaign must be done in correlation with its “doing it differently” slogan, stating that members of the committee must carry out issue based campaigns devoid of blackmail and violence.
He said, “Our task as a team is to canvass votes, mobilize voters and generally prosecute and win the 2023 general elections for the APC across board.
“Our task is not merely to deliver Saliu Mustapha as a senator. Rather, we have the mandate to ensure that all the party’s candidates, including our Presidential flag bearer, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu win by a landslide in Kwara.”
Speaking on his agenda, Mustapha said if elected, his major focus will be in the areas of human capital development, education, agriculture, infrastructure and security.

Mustapha said while the people of the Senatorial district expect much from him, he will do everything to meet their expectations.
“As you already know, I have tried over the years to do my best to help and support as many people within our community, through the Saliu Mustapha Foundation, I have consistently promoted education by awarding scholarships to brilliant but indigent students; I have given financial support to our traders and young people running small and medium enterprises; I have continued to support widows to live a more dignified life. But I do not believe this is the best that I can do, and I have the conviction that the Senate will offer me a bigger platform to further fight for the interest of all categories of people within the Kwara Central Senatorial District,” Mal. Mustapha said.
On his part, the Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, hailed the virtues of Mallam Saliu Mustapha, describing him as a team player.
The governor said the APC will make great impacts with him as the senator representing Kwara Central, due to his large heart and love for the common man.
He said “He is the man of the people and a team player. He enjoys a wide acceptability rating among the people. We believe APC will win big with him as Kwara Central Senatorial Candidate”.
Speaking further he said: “The opposition are afraid of Saliu Mustapha because he is a formidable Turaki. Initially their leader (Saraki) wanted to go back to Abuja by contesting for Senate but he backed down due to the entrance of Mallam Saliu Mustapha as our APC candidate.
“We want a Senator with a strong network that would give us leverage in Abuja and complement the State Government efforts. Saliu Mustapha is already doing this. He is a responsible, responsive and proactive leader”.
