Nigeria did not move in the most recent FIFA men’s rankings for October, despite having won and drawn their only friendly matches played since the FIFA world rankings were released in September.
These matches took place during the international break.
Despite adding 1.62 points during the reviewed month, the Super Eagles’ total point total remained at 1490.48, which kept them in 40th place.
In the first of the two friendlies, the Eagles drew 2-2 with Saudi Arabia before winning 3-2 against Mozambique. However, their ranking on the table was largely unaffected by the outcomes.
Jose Peseiro’s team witnessed a significant drop in the ranking in April, falling to 40th, following their December ranking of 35th in Africa.
