Bandits have reportedly abducted six people in a fresh attack on Takanai community in Zango Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The attack reportedly occurred around 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
A resident of the community, Samson Markus, who confirmed the attack to journalists on Wednesday, said it happened “when it was least expected”.
According to him, the victims include two minors and members of the same family.

“The bandits came around 7 pm when we least expected that such a thing could happen. We were going about our usual activities when suddenly, we heard sporadic gunshots.
“Everybody started running helter-skelter for safety. Four people from the same family and another two from the same family were killed, including two children,” Mr Markus said.
According to him, the gunmen fled the area before the arrival of security personnel.
The Kaduna State Police command is yet to comment on the incident as at the time of filing this report.
