Bright Omokaro, a former player of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan says the football club will bounce back to its winning ways if it puts its act together.

Omokaro said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos on Thursday.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that for three seasons, the Ibadan -based club had been going on and off relegation.

“People like us who played for 3SC, understand that life is in seasons. It is just a bitter pill to swallow that 3SC that was dreaded in my days, is now a shadow of its self.

“I believe the team can turn their fortune around if they are dedicated with hard work; even if it takes flushing out those who do not share the same vision.

“This is not something new. If you look at the premier league, you will realise that any team can have their low moment at any time.

“What is important is for the management of the club to take a holistic approach; they should consider their fans and do the needful,’’ he said.

NAN reports that 3SC had been relegated 17 times since it was founded in 1950 and remained one of the most-decorated clubs in the country.  (NAN)
