VIDEO: How DSS allegedly attack Sowore at Nnamdi Kanu’s court trial
NEWS DIGEST – Former Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore, have been attacked today, December 2nd, in Abuja, at the court trial of Biafra leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
Nnamdi Kanu was arraigned in court by the Nigerian authorities for ‘orchestrating’ the killings of about 60 people, including security officials in the country’s South-east region.
According to Omoyele Sowore, who is also the Publisher of Sahara Reporters, he posted severally on his social media pages, claiming the attack came from the Department of State Services (DSS).
In his first video, he showed how his car was damaged while in the other, one of his escorts said to be in the car narrated the ordeal, saying: We were attacked today. We don’t even know we will survive it. We need to thank our driver. He drove excellently.”
In another video, Sowore said the outbreak was organised by the DSS after he attended Nnamdi Kanu’s Court trial in Abuja.
The Human Rights activist also claimed this is not the first but third time the security operatives would launch such attack on him.
His Facebook post (unedited) as at the time of filling this report reads:
“This is a video clip of the deadly attack on me today at the Federal High court in Abuja, attack was organised by the DSS after I attended Nnamdi Kanu’s Court trial in Abuja. #revolutionnow”.
“This is the third time the DSS will organise such attack, on o e occasion I was physically attacked and journalists on the scene ensured that my assailants were arrested butvtbePolice released them some 20 minutes later. #RevolutionNow #BuhariMustGo #FreeNnamdiKanuNow”.
In the video, it was seen that supporters of Sowore ran after the said DSS on Abuja street, close to the Federal High Court. The supporters of Sowore has seen in the video after they saw the DSS had ran to the other side.
Voices were heard in the video attacking the DSS and federal government verbally, saying Nigerians need more security on road network and safety of lives rather than always coming after their leader, Sowore.
