NEWS DIGEST – On Sunday, August 28, 2022,  the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards ceremony took place, and many musicians received awards. The Video of the Year award, which went to Taylor Swift’s “All Too Well,” is undoubtedly the most desired one of them all.

She won three awards as the video of the year, best long-form video and best direction, all for her song “All Too Well (10 Minute Version).”

Swift is the first artist to receive three video of the year awards. She previously won for the songs “You Need to Calm Down” (2015) and “Bad Blood,” which featured Kendrick Lamar (2019).

Taylor Swift’s “All Too Well (10 Minute Version)” is the first video that is directed by an artist without a credited collaborator to win video of the year.

She also won best long-form video for “All to Well” at the VMA 2022.

Taylor Swift, who previously won in the category two years ago for “The Man,” also took up the award for best direction this year, her 15-minute short film that accompanied her 10-minute extended version of the song. Swift is the second female in the category to win twice.
