Sylvester Oromoni: Omawumi fires back at online trolls
NEWS DIGEST − Nigerian singer, Omawumi Megbele, who has been alleged to be connected to one of the accused students of Dowen College in the death of a 12-year-old student, Sylvester Oromoni, has taken to her social media to slam online trolls.
The Afro-pop singer challenged online trolls to confront her face-to-face, concerning a direct message she received on Instagram.
It will be recalled that on Thursday, 6th of January, the Investigative Committee set up by the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), requested that medical reports of Sylvester before his death be publicised.
Omawumi who took to her Instagram page yesterday to share the screenshot of the DM, made an open declaration to ‘faceless’ online trolls.
The message she received: “If you like, keep locking your comment section, you will mourn over your own child! Your child’s life will be cut short,”
And since the announcement of sylvester’s death in late 2021, the native of Delta had shut her reply button on all her Instagram posts.
Expressing her mind on the DM and corroborating her relationship with the Dowen downfall, the singer posted, “See the first thing I open my DMs to see? What did I do? What did my child do? Because I didn’t post on my page?
“Did you come to my house to see me grieving? Or did you think I was dancing? Both children, one of the formerly accused and the deceased are connected to me! I don’t need to come and explain anything on social media!
“The purpose of this rant is for people like that twerp, that ant, and that dead among the living faceless carcass that said sent that to me. May the rot starts from the hand you used in typing that into your soul!
She claims not to be taking in rubbish from anyone in the present year as she is ready to fight back such individuals.
“This is 2022! Anybody wey sends me rubbish ehn, use the same energy talk am face to face. Anything wey you see, take am like that!”
