The hope of Machester United to have Odion Ighalo continue his spell, dwindles as he looks set to leave Manchester by weekend as his Chinese club, Shanghai Shenhua refuses to extend the loan.
Odion Ighalo has only played three starts in eight appearances in Manchester United, a club he has described as his dream club. The player has scored four goals for the club.
According to reports, Manchester United want to keep Ighalo until the end of August which opposes the May 31st deadline on his loan contract. However, his parent club want him to start the Chinese Super League with them.
Ighalo was signed on loan, the deadline day of transfer window in January, as a bid to get a striker when the Chinese Super League was yet to begin, due to the Corona virus pandemic.
However, his Chinese club has offered a €400,000 per week contract extension until 2024.
