Gov poll: Kwande leads APC mega rally in Jos North/Bassa
NEWS DIGEST – Honourable Suleiman Yahaya Kwande, a two term member of the Federal House of Representatives has urged the people of Jos North/Bassa constituency to come out en -masse and vote for the All Progressive Congress (APC) during the Governorship and the House of Assembly elections in Plateau State on Saturday.
Kwande said this on Wednesday while addressing traders and residents of Unguwan Rogo/Rimi, Febuna, Nasarawa, Bauchi Road, Katako, Gangare, Rikkos, Yanshanu, Mangoro street, Kwanar Shagari, Apata and New markets in Jos, the state capital during the mega rally.
Kwande who was supported by top APC chieftains in Jos North, Gwani Adam Alkali and Dasuki Salihu Nakande, led the campaign train of the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Plateau state, Simon Lalong.
The rally which began with a press conference at the Jos North local government secretariat, where Hon. Kwande stated that re-electing his Excellency, the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong is key to consolidating the good developmental project he has started in the constituency.
In his words: “The coming governorship election in Plateau State is very crucial and we should all come out and vote. You are to re-elect Simon Bako Lalong as the Plateau state governor. Also, vote for all House of Assembly candidates of the All Progressives Congress.”
The campaign train which moved from different parts of the zone had youths and the elderly especially women troop out to hail and chants “Sai Kwande”, “Sai Lalong”.
Kwande also extended his campaign train and tour to Miango Bassa Local government Area where the rally was terminated.
During the rally, the two term member expressed profound appreciation to the people of Irigwe and the entire Bassa for their continued support and urged them to vote for APC in the forthcoming Gubernatorial and State Assembly elections.
Hon. Kwande donated wrappers, fliers, T-shirt and caps and some token to the groups.
