Former minister lobbies Saraki over Kwara governorship seat
NEWS DIGEST – The former Minister of National planning, Abubakar Suleiman has concluded plans to take over the reigns of affairs in Kwara state after the reign of the incumbent governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed.
The former Minister who has not hidden his intention will contest under the People’s Democratic party.
The News Digest learnt that in a meeting today with the Senate President, the former Minister expressed his intention to become the state governor with the support of Senator Bukola Saraki.
This is coming as the party is making efforts to reconcile both Senator Bukola Saraki and Professor Abubakar Suleiman after the former Minister once threatened that Saraki will not be welcomed if he intends to Return to the People’s Democratic party.
This newspaper earlier reported how the Peoples Democratic Party did share the state structure between Senator Saraki and the former Minister to avoid fall of the party.
