Atiku to Buhari: You should’ve invested in health sector instead of London medicals
NEWS DIGEST – Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has hit out at President Muhammadu Buhari over what he described as spending public funds in London.
He said this after President Buhari paid the medical bill of a Blind Corps member.
In a Twitter post via his twitter handle @atiku, he wrote:
“I commend @NGRPresident @MBuhari for paying medical bills of a blind corps member 5 months to the 2019 election, but I remind him that if he had invested the public funds he spends on his London medicals on public healthcare, he wouldn’t need to do this.”
Atiku Abubakar is aiming to become Nigeria’s President by 2019 under the People’s Democratic Party.
President Buhari at various occasions visited London for medical check-ups, a move that has always received condemnation and been a subject of debates.
