PDP Invites ICC to Nigeria over Buhari’s comment
NEWS DIGEST – The Peoples Democratic Party has said statements credited to President Muhammadu Buhari on how he arrested persons accused of corruption as a military head of state deserves an International Criminal Court Trial.
This was contained in a series of tweet by the party on the PDP’s official Twitter handle @ OfficialPDPNig
The party said: “We call on the @UN and the International Criminal Court (ICC) at The Hague, to take judicial note of the boast by President Muhammadu Buhari @MBuhari affirming and approving his violation of fundamental rights of Nigerians
during his regime as military head of state.”
The statement further read: “Nigerians were shocked when President @MBuhari , with

The President had made the statement while receiving members of the Buhari support Organization at the Aso Rock Villa yesterday,he made that in the wake of another allegation bothering on corruption in the Country.
President Buhari had also made a statement that former President Olusegun Obasanjo has questions to answer on a reported ’16bilion dollars’ spent on power projects during his 8-years tenure,although the accused (Obasanjo) denied any wrongdoing.
The Nigerian Presidency is yet to react to this latest development.
