Niyola releases new song, after three years hiatus
NEWS DIGEST – Nigerian singer, Eniola Akinbo, professionally known as Niyola has released a new song, after a near three years hiatus from the Nigeria music industry.
The new single dubbed ‘Olumoranti’ was released Friday December 4 2020 to make her return to the music space.
The ‘Toh Bad’ crooner earlier disclosed the released of her new single during an interview with Emmy Awards nominated journalist, Kiki Mordi.
In the interview, ‘Niyola: Reviving – A Conversation with Kiki Mordi’, Niyola revealed the cause for her break from the Nigeria music industry.
Niyola revealed why she had to be away from the music scenes for three years to live her life away from the public, the tragedy of losing her parents, her close friend after leaving Banky W’s record label, E.M.E.
“I can’t remember the last time I said ‘I am fine’, I just say ‘I am okay’.
“I lost my mum, I lost my dad, I lost a very close my friend. Everything started the year I left E.M.E, the record label I was signed to.
“Losing your mum and dad within a space of two years was a big blow for me.”
The former Empire Emirates Entertainment (E.M.E) record label star describes her new single a song of hope, to move on in life despite the odds.
“It is a song of hope, you are not alone. You are going to get there. Take a break”.
