Nigerians react to Burna Boy’s second Grammy nomination

NEWS DIGEST – Nigerian artiste, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy on Tuesday got his second Grammy Awards nomination for his recent fifth studio album, Twice as Tall.

Many Nigerians, especially Burna Boy’s fans took to social media to extend their heartfelt congratulations to the ‘African Giant’ hit maker for getting a nod at the 63rd edition of the prestigious music awards.

With the records, Burna Boy is not the first or second Nigeria to be nominated for the Grammy Awards, but with his second nomination, he joins King Sunny Ade and Femi Kuti on the list of Nigerians with more than one Grammy nomination.

Music lovers in Nigeria are optimistic Burna Boy would win a Grammy come January 31, 2021 in the Global Music Album category for his Twice as Tall album entry looking at the fact that the category is a tough one.
