Senator faults President Buhari for signing 2018 budget
NEWS DIGEST – Nigerian Senator, Shehu Sani has faulted the decisions of President Muhammadu Buhari to sign the 2018 Budget stating that he should have allowed his conscience to guide him rather than compulsion to sign.
He said the President shouldn’t have signed the document he considers to be full of infraction.
Senator Sani shared this view on twitter through his official Twitter handle @shehusani.
In his words: “The Pen for our signatures should be propelled and Controlled by the force of our conscience and not the Force of compulsion.The President should not have signed a document he considers full of infractions.Signature, grudgingly or happily is the Crown of Consent.”
President Buhari had complained about the additions to the 2018 budget stating that important projects were removed for less important ones causing a huge task in the implementation of the budget.
Mr Buhari also said he signed the Budget to avoid further delay in running the affairs of the Economy.
