The youths of Plateau State, came out on Monday to protest the donation of land for the creation of grazing reserves.
The youths said the protest was necessary, following the government’s announcement that Plateau state government, had given out hectares of land, for grazing reserves to be created in the state.
The youths came out, dressed in all black, chanting slogans, embarking on a peaceful demonstration across Jos, the state’s capital.
The protest carried on today, with protesters dancing to music by Bob Marley and Fela, while marching through major roads in the city at about 7 AM. They marched towards the gateway to Government House, in Rayfield, which is where they chanted slogans against “land grabbing through grazing reserves.”
