Dr Florence Ita-Giwa, former Presidential Adviser on National Assembly Matters, has come out to urge all Nigerian youths to emulate the former Super Eagles captain, Joseph Yobo, who recently retired, with a testimonial game in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State.
In a statement signed by Ita-Giwa, in Lagos, she congratulated Yobo on his appointment by the Rivers State governments, as Senior Special Assistant on Youth and Sports Development. In he opinion, Yobo served the national meritously and was dedicated while eon his national duties.
“I join millions of Nigerians in celebrating a patriot and a dynamic youth and sportsman, Joseph Yobo, as he retired from football as well his appointment as an adviser to the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike.
“I’m proud of his achievements and I’m proud to be identified with him. He is a good man that carved a niche for himself in football. I want to use this medium to call on the nation’s youths to emulate him and be didactic in their chosen professions. The well attended testimonial game in Port-Harcourts is a pointer to the fact that the football community appreciated his profound contributions to the game,” she said.
