The Minister of Environment, Amina Mohammed has disclosed that Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo declined a request to perform at the flag-off of the Ogoni Cleanup held in Rivers State late last week.

Amina Mohammed took to her twitter account on Sunday to slam the Popular musician.
While appreciating everyone who made the inaugural event a success, Mrs. Mohammed added that the singer turned down her invitation to perform at the occasion.
The minister said: “A big thank you to all who contributed to the success of Ogoni cleanup launch. I only wish Timi Dakolo accepted our invitation to perform.”
It would be recalled that: The clean-up of the heavily polluted Ogoni land was recommended by the United Nation Environmental Programme, UNEP, in its report in 2011.
At the event at Bodo, Gokana Local Government, attended by Gov. Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, ministers, and a UN representative, President Muhammadu Buhari, whose address was read by Mr. Osinbajo, warned that the Federal Government would no longer tolerate the current theft and illegal refining of crude oil in the Niger Delta.
