NDLEA’s Boss Marwa receives CISLAC, promises to combat drug abuse
NEWS DIGEST – The Chairman of the The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Rtd General Buba Marwa has assured Nigerians of combating drug abuse.
The NDLEA boss said this when he received a delegation from Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CISLAC) on Thursday.
Marwa stated that the agency will do its best to combat drug abuse in the nation and one of the ways to do that will be to conduct drug integrity tests for citizens.
The Executive Director of CISLAC Auwal Musa Rafsanjani who was represented by CISLAC’s board member Barrister Adesina Oke, commended the chairman for his efforts and emphasis on the need to address the drug challenge currently faced by Nigeria.
CISLAC also discussed its Criminal Justice (CRIMJUST) project, which aims to combat drug and organized crime as well as it’s project on the need for a transparent management and utilization of recovered asset.
In attendance at the meeting were Mr. Shedrach Haruna, Mr. Samuel Asimi, Ms. Bathsheba Tagwai, Mr. Femi Babafemi Mr. Emmanuel Ebu and Ms. Onyinyechi Onwumere.
