Los Angeles jury finds American actor, Kaalan Walker guilty of raping 7 women
NEWS DIGEST – American actor, Kaalan Walker, has been found guilty of numerous rapes he committed between 2013 and 2018.
Kaalan Walker, who is also an actor had featured in the 2018 Superfly reboot.
Recall that in 2021, he was alleged of sexual harassment by over 30 teens and young women who accused him of using his prestige and vowed to introduce them to Drake and other celebrities.
He was convicted of raping seven victims – three of whom were 16-year-old aiming to become models.
He was arrested on charges of forcible rape, criminal intercourse with a minor, and other felonies related to 11 of the victims in Los Angeles County.
Kaalan was in tears when the Los Angeles jury read his verdict and shouted, “I did not rape anybody, your honour!” as he was led away in handcuffs.
He is to face up to 100 years to life for his crimes.
While reacting to the judgment, his lawyer Andrew Flier, said he is dissatisfied with the judgment and intends to appeal the judgment.
He said, “I don’t think he got a fair trial, and the fact that he had three acquittals on three of the victims speaks volumes.”
