2023: Khalifa Abubakar Declares To Contest House of Reps Seat

NEWS DIGEST – Barring last minute changes, Khalifa Abubakar has declared his intention to contest in the 2023 general elections.

Khalifa popularly known as Dan Mallam, will be contesting for the Katsina Central Federal Constituency seat on the platform of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).

In a statement, the young philanthropist said his declaration to run was informed by the need to give his constituents quality representation in the National Assembly.

He added that he decided to throw his hat into the political ring because of the need to contribute his quota and deliver good governance to the people of his federal constituency and the state, at large.

Khalifa said, “We have always called for good governance and often criticised bad governance. It is time to practice what we have always preached through a youth driven campaign.”

Khalifa is the founder of Khalifa Abubakar foundation, a non-profit that provides relief support for Orphans and Internally Displaced Persons in the country.

He is a graduate of Business Administration from Buckingham University and he also bags a Masters in human resource management from the Istanbul Bilgi University, Turkey.

He has a professional course in leadership, training and development from TPC leadership centre as well a certification in public policy and human development from the United Nations University.

He also posses vast knowledge in security and conflict resolution and has worked with the United Nations Population Fund.
