Jose Peseiro joins Super Eagles camp in United States
NEWS DIGEST – Newly-appointed Super Eagles technical adviser, Jose Peseiro has arrived at the team’s camp in Dallas, Texas ahead of the international friendlies against Mexico and Ecuador.
The Portuguese was pictured in company of his three new foreign assistants; Maykel Moreira, Acacio Santos and Vitor Hugo and other local members of the team’s coaching crew.
According to reports, Acacio and Hugo work as an assistant coaches and analysts respectively while Moreira serves as the fitness coach.
Reacting to his appointment as the coach of the three-time African champions for the very first time yesterday, the former Porto and Saudi Arabia national team coach said he is proud to be tasked with the duty of leading the Nigeria National team.
“Pride! It is with great pride and joy that I am the coach of one of the greatest football nations in the world.
Commanding the Super Eagles starts with knowing how to respect the history, value it, and be inspired by its roots,” Peseiro said in a Twitter post.
Peseiro will lead the Super Eagles when they take on the El Tri of Mexico in their first friendly at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Saturday.
