I’ll run an all-inclusive govt, prudently manage state resources–Gov. Sani Bello
NEWS DIGEST–Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani-Bello said his administration will be guided by the principle of equity, justice and fairness in placement of projects and distribution of political appointments within the three geo-political zones of the state.
The Governor stated this in Minna the state capital on Thursday when he received stakeholders of the All Progressive Congress (APC) from Niger East Senatorial and Niger North Senatorial districts of the state on a congratulatory visit on his victory at the gubernatorial polls.
He also said that his administration during the second term will ensure prudent management of the state resources in the face of impending economic downturn in the coming years.
He then advised party members to shun unhealthy competition among themselves, but imbibe the spirit of togetherness for the betterment of the state. Adding that his administration will continue to be fair in the distribution of projects and appointments among the Zones in the State.
The Governor then advised that the people should brace up for an impending economic challenge, he however gave assurance that his administration would ensure prudent spending of the state’s resources and also come up with other means of improving the revenue base of the state in order to cater for any short fall that maybe occur.
“As we go into the next level, indicators have shown that we will have challenges with people’s oriented project. Our wage bill and overhead is increasing while our income is decreasing.
“The government will do all that it can, to ensure prudence in spending and look for alternative source of revenue generation in the state,” the governor assured.
Earlier, Alhaji Yakubu Abubakar and Alhaji Tinau Mohammed who led the party’s stakeholders from Niger East Senatorial district (Zone B) commended the Governor for his unrelenting efforts towards ensuring the welfare of the people of the state through the execution of people oriented projects and policies.
In the same vain, Alhaji Saleh Bashir and Barrister Lawal Yusuf of Niger North Senatorial zone (Zone C ) also applauded the efforts of the Governor and assured him of their unwavering support in the next four years.
