My experience in the hand of kidnappers – Kano Cleric

NEWS DIGEST – A Kano based Islamic cleric, Ahmad Suleiman, released by kidnappers on Wednesday after over 10 days in captivity, recounted his experiences, saying it was hell.

He spoke to journalists at the Headquarters of 17 Brigade, Nigerian Army in Katsina hours after his release by the bandits, according to Daily Trust.

“It is a bitter experience to be kidnapped and stay in the hands of these bandits for more than 10 days,” the released cleric said.

Sheikh Suleiman is a famous Qur’anic reciter and aide of Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje. He was known for making special prayers in campaign rallies of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
