Buhari’s Wife Hails Scrap of Post-UTME

The Wife of the President Mrs Aisha Buhari has commended the Minister of Education Mallam Adamu Adamu and the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board ( JAMB ) on the decision to scrap the POST UME excercise, the cancellation of the sale of scratch cards and the extension of the lifespan of jamb results.

She stated that these developments will further reduce the financial & emotional burden on both parents and students.
It would be recalled that the Federal Government on Thursday ordered that the controversial examinations usually organised by universities in Nigeria for admission seekers after the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations should be scrapped.

The government argued that if there was absolute confidence in the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, there should be no need for Universities to conduct internal examinations to determine the fate of candidates seeking admissions.
