Special Assistant to the President on Youth and Student Affairs, Nasir Adhama on Friday in Abuja launched the Huawei ICT programme which would see about 2,000 Nigerian youth trained in the area of Information and Communication Technology ICT.
The presidential aide urged Nigerian youth to key into the initiative which he said is in partnership with his office.
The scheme is part of government’s effort at addressing the issue of unemployment by way of partnering with Huawei Technologies to initiate a social development programme that would empower 2,000 youths in the sector.
He said: “There are many programmes and activities that would get our youth engaged, especially our brothers and sisters in the Niger Delta and North East who will also benefit from the Huawei partnership programme.
“We strongly seek for the cooperation and support of all Nigerian youths from the nook and cranny of the federation to move our nation forward”.
