Emir of Keffi turbans ex-Minister’s son, Hassan Lawal as Madaucin Yamman Keffi
NEWS DIGEST – The Emir of Keffi, Alhaji Dr Chindo Yamusa III has turbaned Muhammad Hassan Lawal, a son of a late former minister of labour as Madaucin Yamman Keffi.
The emir described the new appointment as an opportunity to render services to the ancient kingdom and the good people of Keffi Emirate.
He urged the new Madaucin Yamman Keffi as well as all other newly turbaned title holders in the emirate to be good ambassadors of the Kingdom wherever they find themselves, and always engage in activities designed to move the emirate forward.
Speaking after his turbaning, 24-year-old Lawal said royalties were given to them based on merit and service to the community.
In his words, he said: ” I’m incredibly grateful to Allah (SAW), the Emir of Keffi, my family and friends for their unwavering love and support.
“I’m especially grateful to my mother, who has been my guiding light in my life. I’m more than willing to work with the Emirate to make a positive impact on the people of Keffi. I’m committed to ensuring the community thrives and I’m looking forward to the journey ahead.
“I’m really grateful for this giant stride as it’s really overwhelming. I really commend this development. The love shown towards me is really massive and I won’t take that for granted.
“I promise not to disappoint my people and I’d keep up the legacy of my late father. My late father has made a name for us and I’ll always uphold the name wherever I go,” he concluded.
Until his death, Alhaji Hassan Lawal served as minister for seven years holding different positions as (Minister of Health) (Minister of Works) and held the traditional title of Jarmai Keffi.
