EFCC denies arresting Okorocha
NEWS DIGEST – The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has denied reports making the rounds that it had arrested former Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, following his official handover to his successor, Emeka Ihedioha, on Wednesday.
The EFCC’s acting Head, Media and Publicity, Tony Orilade, said the arrest of Mr Okorocha and his wife which has been circulating online, is a fake news.
“EFCC wouldn’t investigate the source of the disinformation. We investigate financial and economic crimes. So, if anybody is quoting us, we can then take it up,” the statement added.
