Ekiti to review Fayose’s last months in office appointments
NEWS DIGEST–Ekiti State Government has stated its readiness to probe appointments made by the administration of the immediate past governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose, after the July 21, 2018 governorship election in the state.
The State Executive Council at its meeting on Wednesday also said all other appointments to the public service that did not go through due process would be reviewed.
A statement on Thursday by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Yinka Oyebode, listed the decisions taken at the exco meeting to also include that “all executive secretaries appointed after the July 21 governorship election in the state are to revert to their former positions.
“All other appointments to the public service that did not go through due process involving biometrics will be reviewed by an exco committee headed by the deputy governor, Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi.
“The committee is also to determine available vacancies within the public service which will lead to the commencement of fresh recruitment process,” Oyebode stated.
