Danbatta’s Unending Quest For Digital Transformation
NEWS DIGEST – In the words of Amit Zavery, “Think of digital transformation less as a technology project to be finished than as a state of perpetual agility, always ready to evolve for whatever customers want next, and you’ll be pointed down the right path.”
The above statement set the tone for what is demanded for a society that takes digital transformation as a top priority and this is the path Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta, The Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) is threading upon.
Most recently, the NCC Boss gave his acceptance to any possible ideas, innovations and meaningful collaboration with strategic institutions for the development of human capacity in Nigeria.
He recently noted that robust digital infrastructure and literacy are key to reaping the transformational benefits of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) across public and private institutions in the country.
The NCC Boss just like every tech prone executive has lend his voice and support towards digital transformation in the country.
His digital transformation agenda has also propelled his drive towards bridging the gap of digital divide by making computers available and ICT services accessible to people and key sectors of the economy.
He was said: “Infrastructure that can host this massive flow of information and knowledge is broadband infrastructure and this is top-most in the agenda of the Commission. Indeed, ICT is transforming every sector of the economy and the earlier we embrace the vast opportunity brought by ICT the better,”.
