COVID-19: Nigeria records six deaths, 670 new cases – NCDC report
NEWS DIGEST – According to a report by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, the country recorded not less than six new deaths following complications from COVID-19 disease.
In the report released on Tuesday morning, Nigeria recorded 670 new cases from 10 states including the Federal Captial Territory, Abuja.
According to the health agency, till date, 244,120 cases have been confirmed, 216,180 cases have been discharged and 3,045 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory
The report reads, “The 670 new cases are reported from 11 States- Lagos (277), Kaduna (199), FCT (120), Kwara (20), Abia (14), Rivers (11), Gombe (9), Katsina (9), Bauchi (6), Edo (3) and Cross River (2).
“A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 2, continues to coordinate the national response activities.
