Burna Boy to perform at 63rd Grammy Awards

NEWS DIGEST – Popular Nigerian artiste, Damini Ogulu, professionally known as Burna Boy, is scheduled to perform at the 63rd Grammy Awards ceremony.

According to the Academy, Music’s Biggest Night will be broadcast on the CBS Television Network Mar. 14, 2021.

The Recording Academy has announced details for the Premiere Ceremony ahead of the annual Grammy Awards telecast this month.

Preceding the 2021 Grammy Awards show, the 63rd Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony will take place Sunday, March 14, at noon PT, and will be streamed live internationally via GRAMMY.com.

Hosted by current three-time Grammy nominee Jhené Aiko, the Premiere Ceremony will feature a number of performances by current Grammy nominees, including: Nigerian singer, songwriter and rapper Burna Boy,

The 63rd Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony will feature several performances by current Grammy nominees like Rufus Wainwright, Terri Lyne Carrington + Social Science, Lido Pimienta, Poppy and many others

According to the Academy, “all of the premiere ceremony performers and the host are nominated this year, as are most of the presenters.”

Burna Boy has been nominated in the category for the ‘Best Global Music Album’ category for his ‘Twice As Tall’ album, which was released on 12 August 2020.

Recall that Burna Boy got his first nomination for his album, ‘African Giant’, but earlier in 2020, he lost the award to Anquelique Kidjo that when the category was previously called Best World Music Album.
