Always prepare for death, says Chief Imam
NEWS DIGEST – The Chief Imam of Lagos State, Sheikh Sulaimon Oluwatoyin Abou-Nolla, has advised Muslim faithfuls to always prepare for death, as it is a lifetime job.
The cleric further stated that death is inevitable as every human will eventually ‘taste’ it.
The Chief Imam said this during the Fidau prayer for late Chief Abdul Ganiu Williams, the Arowosadini of Lagos State and the former president of Eko Club, Lagos State.
Sheikh Abou-Nolla urged Nigerians to be well prepared for death and live a good life.
The cleric said, “Preparing for death is a lifetime’s job. It begins from the day you were born till the day you eventually die. Death is inevitable, every soul shall taste death; so let us be well prepared for our death, because all our deeds will be accounted for after our death. Do not allow your love for wealth and worldly affairs to ruin your hereafter”.
At the Fidau prayer, the cleric described the late Abdul Ganiu Williams as a peace lover that lived his life with good deeds.
The late Williams children, Hakeem and Jibola lauded their father for living a good life, and described him as a God-fearing, honest and loving man.
